Ohio Supreme Court Declines To Hear Our Case

Our law firm, Institute for Justice, has fought as hard as anyone in this battle for the rights of homeless people.

Our case has always been that a person should be allowed to shelter those most desperately in need on his own personal property.

We have been beaten down every step of the way on technicalities. They are doing everything in their power to not have to address the real issue at hand… Should I be allowed to shelter people on my own property?

This is yet another set back in this critical human rights fight. But I can tell you, with every loss my resolve becomes all the greater. The harder they push the more I realize they simply do not want to deal with their homeless crisis. They just want to push the issue down the road. Their politician avoidance would be laughable if it weren’t so tragic.

Homelessness is wrong on every level: moral, health, safety. Allowing people to rot on the streets of the richest country in the history of humanity is the great American atrocity of the 21st century.

We will not quit until homeless Americans are allowed to live in peace in their own country regardless of how much money they have.
